The Pesticide Action Network (PAN)
was founded in 1982 to oppose the misuse of pesticides and to promote sustainable agriculture and ecologically
sound pest management. From the very beginning, PAN called for international pesticide regulations and since then has lobbied for an improved FAO Code of Conduct. Compared with former versions, the current Code is clearly an improvement. If all parties were to adhere to the Code, the harm caused by pesticides would be reduced. PAN has therefore decided to support the implementation of the FAO Code through this website. We hope that you will also decide to help implement the Code and that this website will support you in your efforts.
